Delta style anchors are a modern plow-type anchor, regarded as having the best all-around holding ability in varying bottom conditions. Plow-type anchors hold more effectively in grass, mud and sand.
Delta anchors do not have projecting flukes that foul easily, but their shape makes stowing them more awkward.
