A Hall Anchor is a variation or derivative of a Stockless Anchor, and one of the most commonly used anchors on commercial ships.  Hall Anchors are rugged in their construction and simple in design and are considered a good anchor for all types of seafloors – they can bite into sand and mud and provide a deadweight on rocky seafloor surfaces.
